Dr. Craig Butler is a prosthodontist, a dentist who specializes in restoring and replacing teeth injured or lost due to trauma or disease with the use of crowns, dentures, or with the aid of dental implants. He is also certified in Invisalign, a technique for straightening teeth without braces. Dr Butler finds it highly satisfying to restore and preserve a patient's natural teeth with today's progressive technologies and bringing back beautiful smiles.
Dr. Craig Butler attended Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C. where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then received a certificate for completing a one year general practice residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Butler served on the faculty at Howard University College of Dentistry and maintained a private practice in the Maryland area.
Dr. Butler also attended the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where he completed specialty training in prosthodontics. His focus was on full mouth rehabilitation and dental implants. He received a certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology. He in an active member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and lectures locally on prosthodontic topics. He has published articles in The Journal of Prosthdontics and The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Butler contributed his time at Navajo Indian reservations in Tuba City, Arizona, and Shiprock, New Mexico where he aided a team of dental students from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in making and fitting dentures for the local population.
Dr. Butler, his wife and three daughters live in Western Howard County where he is active in his local church and community.
